Flag

Located in Kobe City Hyogo Prefecture and established in 1966. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark green background with a gold, silver and red emblem and vertically written silver kanji university name in gold fringe. The star shape of the emblem represents sunlight and its energy, and the wave shape around it represents the four oceans and their waves. The sun gives birth to and nurtures all things by its energy. The sea opens to the world beyond the waves and gives birth to seafood. It expresses our wish that Kobe Gakuin will foster creative, world-class human resources and flourish as a "university that will last for generations to come. As the official mark of Kobe Gakuin University, it is used on official university occasions such as the school flag and diplomas. Adopted in 1966.
