The Flag

The flag of the City of Cedar Springs, Michigan, was seen at the 2010 Michigan Municipal League convention. The parade of flags is documented at Flickr, including this flag: a blue flag with yellow fringe and a round emblem, outlined and quartered with yellow. The first quarter is green with a handshake of two white hands, sleeved black, the second bears red flannel underwear hanging in the wind. Above and below the emblem is the yellow writing "CEDAR SPRINGS" and probably "MICHIGAN". Between these and the emblem is a red inscription including "PLACE TO", probably related to the slogan "A great place to Live, Work and Play".
