Flag Variants

[Flag of Sykkylven]
de facto (see photo)

I'm not sure I understand the description quite well. So I drew several varieties, and it would be nice to hear your opinions.
Tomislav Šipek, 02 February 2016

I am quite sure that the versions you made as variant0 and variant2 are not what they were meant to be. Just delete them. It may be questioned "where from" the pile is staring from the base, and my choice would be from the very corners...
Željko Heimer, 03 February 2016

There's nothing that says the shield is represented on the flag. The flag is a different medium altogether, with its own description.
Still, it looks like there's also a de facto high flag similar to this flag variant, even if not de jure. I'm unable to make out the details, though. I'm not even able to exclude that we're seeing a Møre og Romsdal high flag.

Coat of Arms

Blazon: I sølv ein blå spiss laga med bogeliner. In English: Argent a pile embowed issuant from base azure.
Approved by the royal resolution of 30 April 1984 after a drawing by Norbert Hovet and Kårstein Blindheim. [c2j87]
The design represents Sykkylvsfjord - a small pointed fjord. The embowed lines were chosen for ornamental reasons. Wikipedia says that it also represents the famous mountain top Straumshornet also in the municipality. The designer's motto was "Mellom fjell og fjord" - Between a mountain and a fjord.
