Symbolism

Adopted April 1, 1998

The overall shape of the county's flag represents harmony, prosperity and future-oriented progressive spirit with enthusiastic dancing movement of Goseong's people. The blue color means blue sea water and endless horizon of Hallyeosudo, and it symbolizes the unlimited possibility of development of Goseong county.

The green color means open field and natural green zone of Goseong, and it symbolizes lively and diligent people of Goseong. The red oval means "rising sun" and it symbolizes the bright future and vision of Goseong county.
