The village emblem was adopted in Apr 1969 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a maroon village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized kanji 明 Asu of Asuka in a form of a flying bird. The upper circle symbolizes an ancient tomb and the lower part does a solidarity and a development of the merged former three villages.
