Overview

CLACIP (Comunidad Latinoamérica y del Caribe de Inteligencia Policial) (Latin American and Caribbean Community of Police Intelligence) was established on February 18, 2005 at the II Encuentro Internacional de Inteligencia (Second International Intelligence Summit) and the IV Cumbre de la Comunidad Andina de Inteligencia Policial (CAIP) (Fourth Andean Community Intelligence Summit), both held in Bogotá, Colombia, with the presence of 58 delegates from 28 countries.

The CLACIP emerged as a neeed for CAP (Comunidad Andina de Inteligencia Policial) (Andean Community Police Intelligence), a forum within the CAN to have a broader scope of cooperation.
