The municipality of San Martín y Mudrián (342 inhabitants in 2009; 4,256 ha) is located in the north-west of the Segovia Province, 45 km of the provincial capital. The municipality is made of the villages of San Martín and ("y") Mudrián (capital). Mudrián was mentioned in the middle of the 13th century as Munnio Adrián, referring to the resettler of the place.

The flag and arms of San Martín y Mudrián are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 23 May 2005 by the Municipal Council, signed by the Mayor on 3 August 2005 and published on 16 August 2005 in the official gazette of Castile and Leon, No. 157, p. 14,369. The symbols are described as follows:
Municipal flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of a yellow panel with three green pines eradicated placed per fess and a border of 1/4 of the flag's hoist, made of a white square at each corner and the rest of the border blue.Coat of arms: Or five pines eradicated vert per saltire a border compony azure and argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
