Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a goat-headed eagle Sable, armed and tongued Gules, base Azure charged with an oak branch Argent having seven leaves.
Meaning:
The eagle is alluding to the Counts of Ziegenhain, former rulers of the region. The number of leaves is alluding to the villages forming the municipality on 31 December 1971: Nieder-Gemünden, Burg-Gemünden, Ehringshausen, Hainbach, Elpenrod, Otterbach and Rülfenrod. On 14 March 1973 the name of the municipality was changed from "Gemünden" to "Gemünden (Felda)".

Nieder-Gemünden Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a goat-headed eagle Sable, armed and tongued Gules, piercing a bar wavy Azure in base.
Meaning:
The eagle is alluding to the Counts of Ziegenhain, former rulers of the region. The bar wavy probably is symbolizing the confluence of little rivers Ohm and Felda.
