Coat of Arms

Shield Gules with base Or, issuant from base three acorned oaks Or alternating with two oak saplings of the same, in chief three 6-point stars Or.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a court seal from the 17th century. The three stars are taken from the arms of the Counts of Erbach, which had been vassals of the Palatine Counts upon Rhine since the 13th century. The village had been a suburb of Fränkisch-Crumbach in the beginning and became later seat of a court (German: Centgericht) The oaks are symbolising the surrounding Odenwald forest.
The arms were approved in 1923 by Minister of Interior of Hesse. Acc. to Klemens Stadler (1967) the stars in chief had been Argent.
