Haßloch Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, at dexter Sable a lion rampant Or, crowned, armed and tongued Gules, at sinister Azure three eagles Argent, arme3d and tongued Gules in triangle, beneath Argent a hook Sable.
Meaning:
The draft of the arms was already made in 1926 but it took more than one decade, until the arms were approved. The lion is the representing the Palatine Counts of Rhine, the eagles are representing the Counts of Leiningen. The hook is shaped like amirrored initial "S" and is the proper local symbol, which can be found on local boundary stones.A court seal from the 18th centurx displayed the hook alone. In 1938 the eagles were ordered 2:1.
