The Great Lakes Cruising Club (GLCC) was founded in 1934 and is headquartered in Port Huron, Michigan. In 2015 the club celebrated their 80th Anniversary. The club has more than 2,500 members in the U.S. and Canada. Members fly a distinctive burgee with five interconnected chain-links that form a complete circle. GLCC members count over 400 harbors as their home ports, and about 200 members serve as GLCC Port Captains in these ports. The club keeps a well-known Log Book filled with harbor reports that contain decades of detailed observations by its members on anchorages, harbors or waterways in the Great Lakes area.
