The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is the chief law enforcement agency in St. Tammany Parish. Formed in 1812, the Sheriff's Office is responsible for maintaining law and order within the parish, conducting investigations, providing security for the parish's courts, and
processing offenders into the jail and into the justice system.
I found the flag of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office in a photograph online at www.nola.com, which showed the Sheriff's Office headquarters and the flags flying outside – the American flag, the Louisiana state flag, and the Sheriff's Office flag.
The Sheriff's Office flag features the Sheriff's Office badge in blue and gold centered on a white field. The badge shows a six-pointed star in blue and gold within a blue ring inscribed with the words "ST. TAMMANY PARISH" above and "SHERIFF" below.
