The flag is the city logo on a white field. It was adopted around 2021 when the
city replaced it's former logo with a new one.

The logo consists of the city name in a multicolored, sketch like font with a
gradient from purple to green. The "h" is formed to look like a paintbrush with
the "d" formed to resemble a treble clef. The "city of" and the state name
appear above and below the name in a blue bold italic font. It was adopted after
the relinquishment of its former logo.

The first flag of Ashland was the former city logo It consisted of the city
name in a black Times New Roman font. Above the "land" are two rising lines of
green and blue. Under the name is the city motto.
