Municipal flags in Benton County:

Valentin Poposki, on June 10th of this year, noted the flag of Benton Co,
Arkansas, has been modified due to a modification of the county seal. As a
resident of the county, I was able to confirm that such as a change did take
place. I do not have an exact date, but the first instance of the flag being
displayed to a wider audience was in June of 2018 when the flags were displayed
at half staff to honor the late Senator John McCain. If Facebook is to be
believed, the county seal was published for the first time on June 4th, 2018 by
the county's official page. I was finally able to see this flag in person last
week when I took the owners of the Thai National Flag Museum to Bentonville to
see the flags themselves (also, at half staff because of an Arkansas-based
sheriff deputy losing his life a few days prior).
The basic seal is still
the same, except the tones got changed from a blue and yellow to a blue and
white. The seal was also made more round, yet it is still maintaining its oval
shape. The overall discussion took place

"Benton County Judge Gary Black raised the new Benton County flag at the County Administration Building on Monday morning. The flag contains the Benton County logo designed about two years ago as part of a T-shirt-design contest. Since the logo was created, Black has wanted to put the logo on a flag. "Wal-Mart has a flag; schools have flags," he said. "I just thought it would be kind of neat to have a Benton County flag."
At least two other counties in Arkansas have county flags, including Craighead and White counties. Black plans to use one of the three flags purchased to use as a backdrop when the county is represented at conferences, town hall meetings or other events. The logo contains an outline of the state of Arkansas with a dot in the northwest corner, representing Benton County, and includes the words "cornerstone of the state."

After passing by the Benton County offices earlier this week, I noticed they now have a flag flying outside. The logo consists of the circular emblem at www.co.benton.ar.us/media/image/navigation/logo2.png. The text at the top says "Cornerstone of the state" the bottom text says Est. 1836. The reasoning behind the motto is that Benton County is the at the very top and left of the state (and borders two states; Oklahoma and Missouri). The logo is only two toned on the flag (unlike what you see on the website graphic) but it looks like the logo is 5/6's of the height of the flag. The background is white.
