The Gonfalon

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
The gonfalone was approved in 1996. A rectangular canvas with a ratio of the sides 1:1 is divided into four parts. The first and fourth are red, second and third are dark blue. In red fields are white sphere, ploughshare, and yellow cordate figure. In dark blue parts are three yellow leopards in a pole".
Comments:
Azure, three lions passant Or in pale - old polish Coat of Arms of Zhidachev. "Dark blue" colour used only in english text. Ukrainian page uses "blue" (sinij).

"The modern coat of arms was approved in 1996. In a gules field there are silver sphere, ploughshare, and an or cordate figure. The board is framed by a decorative ornament and crowned by a silver town crown with three towers."

"For the first time is mentioned in documents for 1164?. under the title Zudechiv. In 1393 the king Jagailo grants the Magdebourg right for city. The representatives of city participated in Hrunvald fighting at 1410."
