The Flag

According ukrainian bulletin "Znak": Flag for town of Lokachi adopted by town Rada on 25, April, 2000. White cross symbolizes the Volynia region. Lokachi is a small town in Volyn oblast of Ukraime.
Victor Lomantsov, 27 March 2004

From <heraldry.com.ua>:
"It was confirmed at February, 29th, 2000 by the settlement council decision. The square panel divided into 4 equal square fields - top from a staff and bottom from free edge are red, others two are green, in the center of the top field from a staff is a white paty cross (a symbol of the Volyns'ka land).
The small town Lokachi (now - settlement, the regional center of the Volyns'ka oblast') is known still with XVI century. Nevertheless there are no data on the historical arms. Probably, it was to be a sign on someone from proprietors of a small town, but acknowledgement to this is not present."

Coat of Arms

from <heraldry.com.ua>

From <heraldry.com.ua>:
"It was confirmed at February, 29th, 2000 by the settlement council decision. In a gules field on a vert base is argent warrior with bow and arrow. The author is I.Hamezhuk, adviser is B.Bernadsky, and heraldic examination was carried out by A.Grechylo.
The warrior on vert meadows symbolizes the heroic past of settlement, and also unites the most widespread versions of an origin of name "Lokachi". In one of them it is spoken, that the name occurs from a word "meadow". It is known, that in territory of settlement there were many bow-warriors."
