The flag of Lalapaşa is white with the municipality's emblem in the middle. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
The emblem of the municipality features a dolmen (photos). Quoting the research report Black Sea Cultural Heritage - Turkey:
The existence of dolmens, found in various parts of the world, in Turkey has been established in Thrace, South and Southeast Anatolia. Megalithic monuments in Thrace have been first discovered owing to the investigations of Ş. A. Kansu and the efforts of the Edirne Museum. In 1964-1968 Kansu discovered 19 dolmens and several obelisks in the Edirne district of Lalapaşa. 118 dolmens have been discovered and documented since 1998 as a result of the superficial research of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yosdogan and his team, who continued the work in the region, which began in 1980.
Researches dating back to 1998 proved that dolmens, which had then been considered to be restricted within the Lalapaşa region only, spread out to the north of Kırklareli and to the mountainous areas of Srandzha. The dolmens in Kırklareli spread out eastwards to Demirköy, and southwards to the villages of Yundolan and Chakallı. The dolmens in east Thrace date back to the end of the late Bronze Age and the beginning of the early Iron Age. It has also been established that the use of some of the dolmens had continued to 8-7 B.C.
