horizontally divided green over red by a white arrow, in the green field are
three 8-pointed
stars, in the red field a black bear skin overlain by a yellow herringbone
pattern.

The green color symbolizes the wealth of the region not only in forest lands, but also in all the gifts of nature, including land, oil, water. Forest, oil, play an important role in human economic activity in the Igrinsky region and the entire Udmurt Republic. But green also indicates the fragility of the natural balance and a call to protect nature. The red color in the traditional mythopoetic tradition of the Udmurts symbolizes joy, triumph, happiness and the divine principle. These colors in the color spectrum mutually reinforce each other.
The emblem is located in the center of the flag. Above the emblem there are three silver Udmurt stars - "Tolezo", guardians from misfortunes. The concept of the coat of arms and the flag is based on mythological representations and ritual among the Udmurts and Ugrians associated with the bear and the bear hunt, which is the core of the bear cult. The bear acts as a guardian spirit, a healing spirit, an animal double of a person. The bear is depicted in the form of an ornamental-symmetrical medallion - a rosette in the form of a bear skin with a life line - schematically depicted by a golden herringbone.

The reverse side is mirrored, of course. But the bear`s head is at the staff
too. But the drawing is so abstract that the residents of the area often confuse
where is the obverse of the flag and where is the reverse.
