The flag of Lebane photo) is white with the municipal greater coat of arms in the center.
The coat of arms of the Lebane Municipality is used in three versions:
lesser, middle and greater coat of arms.
The greater coat of arms shows on a blue field the east Emperor's gate, in gold, above
a wavy stripe argent, the whole surmounted by two golden fleurs-de-lis. The shield is supported on the right by Emperor St. Justinian I and on the left by the great martyre
St. Dimitrius), holding two spears of natural golden bronze, with
the respective flags of Serbia and Lebane. Beneath is a scroll inscribed
"LEBANE" in Cyrillic script.
The silver (white) wavy stripe represents river Jablanica. The two fleurs-de-lis or are featured on the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Serbia as a symbol of its continuity
with the Nemanjić dynasty. Shown on the coat of arms of the Republic of Serbia, the fleurs-de-lis represent the affiliation of
the municipality of Lebane to Serbia as its superior territorial unit;
the flag of Serbia is also present on the greater coat of arms of
the municipality, as a rule and practice in Serbian heraldry. The fleurs-de-lis
are a Christian symbol of purity and honor.
The meaning of the colors is the
following:
- Gold (or), or yellow: Generosity;
- Silver (argent) and white: Peace and honesty;
- Blue (azure): Loyalty and truth;
- Green (vert): Hope and joy.
Designed by Jereja Filipa, the coat of arms was drawn by Damjan Ilić, in cooperation with Dikić Nebojšom; the heraldic description was provided by Đakon Hadž and Nenad M. Jovanović.
