Based on the stamp we have (flag
stamp #00408), here's an image of the Ngiwal flag. It is a red flag with a
large circular seal centered on it, on which we can see a
tree from one of whose boughs water (with some fish in it!) gushes into a large
pool, masoned with black stones, placed in front of it. This is surrounded by
white ring with black edges, on which four golden stars are placed in the
cardinal points; the whole sits on a red 2:3 (?) background with a narrow white
fimbriation.

According to
http://pacificdigitallibrary.org, red symbolizes bravery. The stone platform
with four megaliths represents the four cornerstones or four top leadership of
the community. The tree is a breadfruit tree; sea water gushing from the tree
represents abundance of sea food. The four stars represent the four hamlets
forming Ngiwal, that is, Ngercheluuk, Ngersngai, Ngellau and Ngermechau.
