Based on a personal
web site at http://www.users.quest.net/~rae.4332/flags.html (no longer
available), developed by an inhabitant of Palau, which shows the flags of all
the 16 states of Palau. The flag is
blue, with a tilted yellow crescent moon, 7 yellow stars (one larger) and in the
centre a native house. According the census Koror has an area of 65 sq. km, a population of
12,299 inhabitants, and the capital is Koror.

From http://kororstategov.com/index.html:
On the ocean of blue as the background tells a story of our greater resource, the vast ocean around us. The golden crescent moon symbolizes the new government evolving and growing with the six stars in unity. The six stars represent the six hamlets of Koror State. The larger star in the middle dividing six stars in half, demonstrates the union of the NgaraMeketii and RubekulKeldeu. The two separate leaders that once were separate, now united as one Body of Traditional Leaders of Koror. In the center of the circle is the traditional meetinghouse called "Bai". Bai will always remind us that we are sheltered in our heritage, resting on the strong stone platform, with our ten traditional leaders as our strong foundation.
In essence, the flag is a reminder that the People of Koror are protected by
their Democratic Government and Traditional Leaders as they as people of
traditional and heritage while growing with the Republic of Palau.

According to
http://pacificdigitallibrary.org, the flag of Koror is dark blue with a
traditional "abai" house surrounded by a crescent moon and seven stars, the
central star bigger, all yellow, arranged in a ring pattern around the "abai".
Blue symbolizes the sea surrounding the island and the sky, in which hang the
crescent moon and stars.
The traditional "abai" rests on a sure
foundation of ten stones, strong symbols of the ten traditional chiefs on which
our culture rests and stand. The depiction of historic and cultural stories on
its facade represents the shelter we have in our heritage, the freedom that
gives us to wander the world knowing we have a secure home waiting for our
return and a solid past from which to Launch our bright future. The circle of
unity, surrounding and protecting the "abai", is a symbol of strength and unity,
continuity and progress. The crescent moon represents newness and evolution. The
six smaller stars represent the six traditional hamlets forming Koror; the
larger star in the middle symbolizes combined central traditional hamlets.
Construction details are given as follows:
- Proportions 3:5;
-
Diameter of the ring made by the crescent moon and the star: 1/1.44 of the
flag's width;
- Center of the circle vertically centered on the flag,
horizontally at 1/3 from the flag's hoist;
- Position of the crescent moon:
60 degrees;
- Ratio of the larger to the smaller stars: 2:1.
