Vilarouco e Pereiros is one of the five communes of Fundão Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 357 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 34,74 km².

Shield Vert, a pale Sable fimbriated Argent, in chief superimposed by a heraldic rose Or seeded Gules, at dexter an almond branch Argent with blossoms of the same seeded Gules, at sinister six bees Or ordered 3:2:1. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, with inscription in black capitals "VILAROUCO".

Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert, flanked by two branches of almond Vert fruited Or, crossed per saltire in base, in chief an orb Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "PEREIROS - S. JOÃO DA PESQUEIRA".
Meaning:
The orb is an attribute of Jesus Christ, as the Divine Saviour being the local patron saint. The other charges are symbolizing agriculture.
