Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, two eradicated vine plants Vert fruited Purpure ordered per fess, in cental chief a bicycle's wheel Sable spoked Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SANGALHOS".
Meaning:
The vine plants are representing viticulture as an important local business line. The wheel is representing the local production of bicycles. The base wavy is representing Cértima River.
