The arms are Or a barrel Gules ringed Argent between two seahorses Vert respectant, in chief a lire Purpure, in base a bar wavy Azure charged with a barrulet wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SAMOUCO — ALCOCHETE".

Samouco Commune is one of the three communes of Alcochete Municipality (q.v.); it had 3143 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 4.8 km².
