About the flag

White background, with lettering saying "Rota da Luz / COSTA DE PRATA · Portugal", under the local logo. Note the reference to the Costa de Prata Tourism Promotion Area. As far as I know, this is an unique aknowledgment of a Tourism Region as being part of a Tourism Area, especially because the borders of these two divisions overlap in most cases. I’ve seen this flag flaying.

I saw again last september [2006] the flag of Rota da Luz tourism region, Portugal. The logo on the flag is shown in bright shades, not in the somber hues I reported back in 1998: The shade of green is lighter than the national flag's, red is identical and blue is much lighter than UE’s (see photo).

Presentation of Rota da Luz Tourism Region

This region encopasses most of the current Aveiro District.The name means «Route of the Light».
