Portuguese cell phone service TMN (a branch, or rather a brand, of
Portugal Telecom issued in late 2006 an advertisement
campaign for its POTS home service. It includes people "claiming" their
homes for TMN by erecting logo flags on house roofs.
This flag uses the white stylized, above-dotted "t" ("ṫ") shaped as
a human on the light pastel blue TMN adopted last year (designer: Luis
Matos). This is more than just a virtual flag used only in (doctored)
promotional photo and film, as some outdoor advertisement stalls were
fitted with real cloth flags during this campaign.
I suggest a rough classification of commercial flags: Company flags, brand
flags and campaign flags (the above fits somewhere between the latter
two).
