First mentioned in 1190. Tuczepy Commune has lovely location standing out by very attractive landscapes with wavy relief, beautiful forest and rivers like: Wschodnia, Radnia i Sanica with water channel network. The considerable part of commune is lying at the territory of Solecko-Pacanowski and Chmielnicko-Szydlowski Protected Landscape Areas. The genuine wealth of the commune are mixed forests, which occupy nearly 30 % of commune territory with its biodiversity trees, ground flora and forest game.
The east part of Tuczepy commune has more industrial function, because
of rich deposit of mineral resources like sulphur, sands, gravel and clay,
which gives opportunites to develop the production of the building materials.
The Special Economic Zone operates here to make start of business firms
easier. The area of the Special Economic Zone is very attractive for investment,
because of very good provision of technical infrastructure, prospects of
economic use of some thousands cubic capacity. A big economic value for
this region is good railway connections by wide double track and
normal double track with railway sidin in Rzedow, which allows to
dispatch different goods. At this land you can find interesting historical
buildings and the areas of outstanding natural beauty with the monuments
of nature which occupy about 40 % of commune surface
The total area is 83,7 km2, of which 62% cultivating land,
21% forests.
The base of Tuczepy economy is farming, mining industry processing
sulphur and developing tourism.
Tuczepy has a well developed communication road system. There
are good connections and possibilities to get here by car or bus."

Arms and flag adopted on March 31, 2003 (resolution # III/36/2003).
"Arms: Renaissance shield divided vertically into two halves. On the
right blue field there is a Latin cross with the legend "ECCE AGNUS DEI"
written within its arms. On the left red field there is a rogacina "Kosciesza",
crossed and split at the base.
Flag: a rectangle of two vertical fields, blue and red, with the charges
from the Arms."
