New flag adopted on February 1, 2007 (resolution # 38/2007).
Arms and previous flag adopted in 2003 (resolution # 34/2003).
Arms: green three-leaved plant (Latin: trifolium; English: trefoil; French: trefle; German: dreiblatt; Polish: trójlistna roślina) on the white shield outlined in red.
Flag: a rectangle composed of three uneven horizontal bands: upper and
lower are narrow and green, the wide middle band is white and carries the
commune's Arms above the legend "NOWY STAW" in gold letters outlined in
green.
Previous flag (2003) was a plain bicolor of white over green.
The town's Coat of Arms differs by the addition of the red mural crown (three
towers) above the shield."
