Zakliczyn - urban-rural commune, Tarnów County, Małopolskie Voivodship.
Zakliczyn is a town in Poland, with 1,558 inhabitants (2006), on the
right bank of the Dunajec River.
Zakliczyn had town rights from 1557 to 1934, and regained them on January
1, 2006.
In 2008 Zakliczyn was selected with 19 villages of Europe (Germany,
Poland, Italy and Spain) for the Spanish documentary film Pueblos de Europa
("Villages of Europe"), produced by Juan Frutos. (wiki)
Arms and flag adopted on February 10, 2006 (resolution # XXXII/253/2006).
"Arms: on the silver shield three black and gold hunter's horns
Flag: a yellow rectangle with three black stripes, each of 1/8 of the
width of the flag.In the middle of the flag is a shield with the Arms of
the town."
