"Arms: a white, crowned eagle holding a silver fish in its talons. All on a red field.
Flag: colors are related to the history of the town: blue symbolizes
a dependence on Vistula River for the well-being of the city. Also, it
is a color of the Anjou dynasty of King (Reigning Queen) Jadwiga - patroness
of the town. Black recalls the Teutonic Knights ownership of 200 years
and white and red are the national colors of Poland.
In the middle of the quarterly divided flag of dark blue, white, black
and red (clockwise) is the town's Coat of Arms."
