Here is a display of flags and burgees atop a Tasman Empire Airways Limited
flying Boat (New Zealand's International Airline at the time) in the late 1940s.
The Burgees feature the Airlines symbol at the time (The Marero, Flying Fish.
Also the Royal Mail with George VI Cypher. The Flags are the British Civil
Ensign and from the best of my research the letter C signal flag.

The Museum of Transport and Technology, New Zealand has an example of this
burgee in its collection. A navy blue pennant featuring the TEAL logo of a
Maroro (flying fish) in air force blue, navy blue and white.
