Voorburg former municipality
Voorburg is a suburb of Den Haag, but was an independent municipality till
1 Jan 2002, when it merged with Leidschendam, to form the new municipality
of Leidschendam-Voorburg.
Flag: white, in the center a red opened burgh.
This flag was adopted 20 Dec 1961 by municipal resolution. The image
is identical to the municipal arms.

Granted 24 Jul 1816.
The coat of arms reminds of the Roman castellum, built here c. 85 AD, which lasted
until the beginning of the 3rd century, at the site of Arentsburg aan de
Vliet. The castle was named "Forum Hadrianum".
