In 1528, he succeeded to his father's estate and served as the governor of Iwami, Suo, Nagato, Buzen, and Chikuzen provinces. In 1541, he destroyed the Tomoda and Takeda clans and ruled Aki Province. Yoshitaka was a military commander who excelled in learning and performing arts. The war streaming flag has white background with black Karabanabishi emblem with black Myoken Daibosatsu", "Hachiman Daibosatsu", "Tenma Daijizaitenjin" divine names. The karahanabishi was a flower pattern that came from China.
