The 15th shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate. In 1567 he entered the capital and restored the Shogunate supported by Oda Nobunaga. He later opposed Nobunaga and attempted a siege of Nobunaga with the Takeda, Asai, Asakura, and Honganji Kennyo clans, but was defeated and surrendered, and the Muromachi shogunate was destroyed. Under Toyotomi Hideyoshi, he was given 10,000 goku and lived in Makishima, Yamashiro Province. The war streaming flag has a white background with black kanji letters 八幡大菩薩 a patron God of warriors with two black stripes. The Ashikaga family emblem, which can be said to be the root of the samurai family emblem, is two horizontal stripes in black, which originated from a camp curtain stretched over the battlefield with the second and fourth tiers dyed black. It was used as a samurai flag = the flag of the shogunate.
