The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Notice No 37.
The white flag has a blue and a light blue two color town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized O of Okinoshima in a form of caps of waves of
Japan Sea. The outer circle symbolizes a harmony and a peace of mind of the
town, the inner white circle does a brightness of the town ,the two waves do an
active interchange and an image of the people supporting each other. As a whole,
it represents an idea of the town development. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The
height of the emblem is 3/5 of the height of the flag.
