The town emblem was adopted on Jun 17th 2005 by Notice No 41 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a blue and a green two color town emblem in the
center. The town emblem is a stylized Y of Yurihama in a form of a bird flying
in a high sky. The blue, green and white colors symbolize an abundant nature
such as sea, lake, hot spring, pears and sand beach. As a whole, it represents a
wish for a solidarity, a friendship, a development of the town where nature, the
people and the industry work together and the bright future.
