The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Nov 21st 2005 by Instruction No 36. The white flag has a red, an orange and a blue three color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized S of Shitara. It represents an abundant nature such as highland, mountains and lakes which is a city’s property and an image of the town’s collaboration and a progress. The center orange circle symbolizes a vigor and a concentration power. The flag proportion is 2:3.
