The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Notice No 1.
The light blue flag has a blue, a green and an orange three color city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized hiragana に Ni of Nikaho.
It represents an image of the people in abundant natural circumstances who strongly bounds
to the future and a dreamful, a rich and a vital city.
The flag proportion is 2:3.
The length (not height) of the emblem is 4/9 of the length of the flag.
