According to Roberto Breschi presentation titled: "The
Small Italian States Which Lasted Beyond 1700" at ICV 19
(York,2001), Principality of Torriglia flag was coat of arms on white.
There are no evidence to the putative flag of yellow over white
charged with a crowned eagle.
Dov Gutterman, 2 August 2001
Torriglia was not a republic but a feudal principality located
on the mountains of Genoa's hinterland, ruled by Doria family
from 1547 to 1797, when it merged into Ligurian Republic. Its
flag was the standard of Doria house, the coat of arms on a white
background. An armorial conjectural flag is also reported, yellow
over white charged with the Doria's eagle, but there are no clear
evidences of its existence.
