Presentation of Gračišće

The municipality of Gračišće (Italian, Gallignana; 1,433 inhabitants in 2001, 467 in the village of Gračišće) is located about 10 km east of Pula.
The town, built on the top of a hill, is a typical Istrian medieval town, with the status of protected monument as a whole.

The coat of arms is "Argent on a base vert a church with a belfry gules".
It must be based on some historical design, otherwise the central state authorities would probably not have approved such a design with yet another church.
