The symbols of Štrigova are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Štrigova, adopted on 23 May 2006 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 30 June 2006 in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, No. 7.
The Decision was adopted on 17 August, however it was not published until the end of the year, waiting for the approval from the central authorities.
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, green with the coat of arms in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Vert a two-towered church or issuant from a bunch of grapes of the same within a bordure also or".
The church is the baroque St. Jerome church of Štrigova.
As explained in Međimurje, županijske novine (23 March 2004), the local commission stated that the coat of arms should include the church and a bunch of grapes. The designer omitted the church with the explanation that there are already too many churches in the municipal coat of arms in Croatia, no doubt after consulting the state commission; the local commission, however, was determined and apparently managed to get the design with the church approved in the mean time.
