A Flag For Wroxton:
http://www.wroxton.org.uk/page9.html
Well done Wroxton for such an
excellent return of voting forms. 181 forms were posted and 80 votes received.
Thank you all who took an interest in this project, together with the time and
effort to make a contribution towards the outcome, in what you must agree was a
good example of a democratic process. Flag D, designed by Chris May, and
pictured below, was the clear winner, obtaining 37.5% of the vote. It now has
been forwarded to the Flag Institute to be registered as Wroxton's adopted flag.
Flag A (three ducks in the shape of a `W') was second with 25% of the vote; Flag
B (five ducks on a pond) was third with 22.5% of the vote and Flag D (The
Milestone) was fourth with 15% of the vote.
The next step is to get the
flag made so that it can have its maiden `flight' accompanied with all the pomp
and ceremony it deserves. I will keep you in touch with progress as soon as
matters are confirmed.
