Libreville is the capital and largest city
in Gabon, located in west central Africa. The city
is a port on the Komo
River, near the Gulf of Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean.

The flag of Libreville as seen during a session of the
Libreville Municipal Council in July 2015 is white with the municipal
coat-of-arms occupying 4/5 of the height in full colour in the centre (as seen
here and
here).
The arms show a mural crown and has as supporters two heraldic sea lions Or,
langued and armed Gules and holding staffs with the national flag of
Gabon (a tricolour Gold, Green and Blue). A motto is
also included
"Libertas Ex Amicitia Nascitur". The arms symbolise the geographic
location by the sea and the Equator. The chief stands for the peaceful
co-operation between the European and Gabonese communities.
The sea-lions are a symbol of the port, the flags carried by them makes clear
that Libreville is the capital of the republic.

There is also a version showing the name of the city in
black letters below the Arms (as can be seen
here).
