Flag of Yonne

The departement of Yonne adopted a new logo in march 2022 [source - L'indépendant de l'Yonne]

The logo is made of the number of the department, 89, with the 9 being too the first letter Y of the name of the department. The 3 historical colors of the Departmental Council logo, blue, green and orange are transcribed in a gradient of these same colors. The Core Rhino font softens the way the word Yonne is written. This rounder typography, less bold than the previous one, contributes to more softness and harmony in the whole composition. The entity The Department is written with a sans serif font, giving the community an aspect of solidity and stability. [source: official website]

The flag of the General Council of Yonne, as observed in Auxerre in 2004, is white with the logo of the General Council.
The logo of the General Council of Yonne is made of a blue and green "Y" whose base is pierced by an horizontal orange stripe. The blue part of the "Y" represents river Yonne, for which the department is named, while the green part of the "Y" represents the forests of the department. "CONSEIL GÉNÉRAL / DE L'YONNE" is written below in black letters.
The flag was also used without the writing (photo, photo).
