The flag of Wittersdorf, as observed in 2011 at a local flagmaker, is white with the the municipal coat of arms, "Argent a bear sable langued gules holding dexter a bunch of grapes of the samk".
The arms were designed in 1973. The bear comes from the arms of the chapter of the Saint-Ursanne abbey (Switzerland, owner of the Wittersdorf's tithe and church. The grapes represent wine-growing.

Before the French Revolution, 21 hectares were planted with grapevine in Wittersdorf, mostly owned by the Saint-Ursanne abbey.In April 2002, the municipality decided to replant 20 ares on a steep slope overlooking the church. Only 24 liters wine were produced in 2005, a quantity increased to 700 liters (~ 1,000 bottles) in 2011. The vineyard is managed by the association "Les Vignes de l'Ours" (The Bear's Vineyards), which signed a sharecropping contract with the municipality.
The Wittersdorf vineyard is the only vineyard still exploited in the Sundgau region.
