The municipality of Villanueva de los Caballeros (235 inhabitants in 2010; 3,500 ha) is located in the west of Valladolid Province, on the border with Zamora Province, 60 km from Valladolid.

The flag of Villanueva de los Caballeros is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 23 October 2007 by the Municipal Council, signed on 29 January 2008 by the Mayor and published on 7 February 2008 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 26, p. 2,276 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: With proportions 2:3, red. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms.

The coat of arms of Villanueva de los Caballeros is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 1 August 2006 by the Municipal Council, signed on 19 September 2006 by the Mayor and published on 2 October 2006 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 190, p. 18,330 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Gules five women's busts proper each holding a scallop argent surrounded by two snakes vert linked by their head-shaped tail, a bordure argent six crosses of the Order of Saint James three in chief one on each flank and one in base. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
