Symbols of Trescasas

The flag and arms of Trescasas (municipal website) are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 24 March 2011 by the Municipal Council, signed on 9 May 2011 by the Mayor, and published on 23 May 2011 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 98, p. 39,513-39,514 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:,3 made of five horizontal stripes, with proportions 1/4 for the upper, lower and central stripe and 1/8 for the intermediate stripes. The upper stripe is blue, the central stripe is green, the lower stripe is green, while the intermediate stripes are white.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules three houses (tres casas) argent masoned sable per pale, 2a. Vert a sheep argent, 2b. Azure a monogram of King Charles III argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.

The symbols were originally approved on 4 November 2010 by the Municipal Council. They were validated on 30 December 2012 by the Chronicler of Arms of Castilla y León.
Rafael Martín Gómez tabled an objection, claiming the the proposed coat of arms did not reflect the history and idiosyncrasy of Trescasas, which was turned down by the Municipal Council when the symbols were definitively adopted. Four Councillors voted for the adoption of the symbols, another two abstained from voting and Fernando Sanz Revilla voted against the adoption of the symbols.
