The municipality of Sangarcía (429 inhabitants in 2009; 3,752 ha) is located in the west of Segovia Province.

Symbols of Sangarcía

The flag and arms of Sangarcía are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 14 April 1998 by the Municipal Council, signed on 15 April 2002 by the Mayor, and published on 10 May 2002 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 88, pp. 6,252-6,253 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Quadrangular flag, with proportions 1:1, tierced at hoist red and at fly blue, the division charged with a vase with lilies of which emerges an arm armed with a sword, all white.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Azure a vase of lilies an arm issuant armed with a sword all argent, 2. Gules a two-staged aqueduct argent masoned sable over ten rocks argent [The Segovia Roman aqueduct]. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
