The municipality of Pomar de Valdivia (504 inhabitants in 2009; 8,014 ha) is located 110 km from Palencia. The municipality is made of the villages of Pomar de Valdivia (92 inh.; capital), Báscones de Valdivia (23 inh.), Camesa de Valdivia (88 inh.), Cezura (8 inh.), Helecha de Valdivia (34 inh.), Lastrilla (16 inh.), Porquera de los Infantes (43 inh.), Quintanilla de las Torres (109 inh.), Rebolledo de la Inera (11 inh.), Respenda de Aguilar (2 inh.), Revilla de Pomar (26 inh.), Villaescusa de las Torres (15 inh.), Villallano (47 inh.) and Villarín de Valdivia (41 inh.).

The flag and arms of Pomar de Valdivia are prescribed by a Decree
adopted on 6 April 2002 by the Municipal Council, signed on 13 May 2002 by the Mayor, and published on 3 June 2002 in the official gazette of
Castilla y León, No. 105, p. 7,365 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, vertically divided into two equal parts, at hoist red with 13 white disks 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 1, at fly white with two blue wavy stripes of 1/7 the flag's hoist.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules an apple tree [pomar, "an apple orchard"] eradicated argent fructed or, 2. Argent thirteen bezants gules two pales of six and one in base, grafted in base waves azure and argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
The 13 disks must represent the 13 villages forming the municipality, together with the capital, Pomar de Valdivia.
