Presentation of Villabraz

The municipality of Villabraz (125 inhabitants in 2010; 3,697 ha) is located in the southeast of León Province, 50 km of León. The municipality is made of the three villages of Alcuetas (47 inh.), Fáfilas (6 inh.) and Villabraz (72 inh.; capital).

Symbols of Villabraz

The flag and arms of Villabraz are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 23 September 2000 by the Municipal Council, signed on 25 September 2000 by the Mayor, and published on 9 October 2000 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 196, p. 12,396 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of two triangles formed by a diagonal running from the lower hoist to the upper fly, the triangle at hoist white with a red Cross of Saint James, the triangle at fly green.
Coat of arms: Per bend sinister, 1. Argent a Cross of Saint James gules, 2. Vert three spikes or. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
